Jeudi 02 juillet de 9h à 12h, Amphi II de la Maison de la Recherche et de la Valorisation (MRV) :
New Space fundings and innovations :
The session will begin by attempting to define « New Space » and summarizing the sector’s key success stories from recent years. Next, various financing models will be presented, covering equity, quasi-equity, grants, development contracts, commercial contracts, public and private funding entities, financing mechanisms, and more. This overview will also provide an opportunity to understand the scale of capital investment in the space sector globally and within Europe. A section will then be dedicated to the workings of venture capital funds, examining their investment rationale and key priorities. The session will conclude with a group exercise focused on startup ideation, followed by a pitch session for the developed projects.
Conférencier : Quentin Robert est actuellement CEO chez Space Founders– un accélérateur européen spécialisé dans les startups du secteur spatial. Auparavant, il a travaillé chez Expansion, un fond d’investissement spécialisé dans le New Space. Dans ce cadre, il a accompagné plusieurs sociétés en tant que membre de leur conseil d’administration ou observateur.

Ad Astra Per Aspera. Do we need ethics for space exploration ?
For seventy years, we have been living through the space revolution: we have crossed the boundaries of the atmosphere, and we are exploring and utilizing space. Are we truly aware of the consequences of this revolution? What does it bring to humanity, to our Earth, and to space? In this presentation, I simply wish to introduce a line of questioning that has become essential.
Conférencier : Jacques Arnould est chargé d’éthique au CNES, le Centre National d’Études spatiales. Ingénieur agronome de formation, il est Docteur en histoire des sciences et Docteur en théologie.
