Funders of TIRIS
TIRIS: Strong public support for impactful research
The TIRIS programme – Toulouse Initiative for Research’s Impact on Society – has received decisive financial support from the French government and the Occitanie Region, as part of the France 2030 plan and the ‘Excellence in all its forms’ call for projects. This structuring funding will enable TIRIS to pursue ambitious and innovative initiatives in research, training, innovation and dialogue between science and society. This will serve to transform scientific practices and society.
The State – France 2030
The TIRIS programme is the winner of the ‘Excellence in all its forms’ call for projects, as part of the France 2030 plan supported by the French government. This support makes TIRIS part of a national initiative aimed at strengthening French university sites, structuring scientific cooperation over the long term, and encouraging the emergence of projects with a strong territorial and societal impact.
In this way, the government is supporting the transformation of the Toulouse academic site through an approach rooted in interdisciplinarity, openness and the promotion of knowledge.
The Occitanie Region
As a long-term partner of the region’s higher education and research establishments, the Occitanie Region is a major player in the TIRIS dynamic. Its support is aimed at encouraging inter-institutional cooperation, educational innovation and impact research, as well as strengthening links between the academic world and the region’s economic players, associations and citizens.
The Region’s support reflects its strong desire to make the Toulouse site a lever for change and innovation, serving the region and its residents.
